What are balance, coins and inventory value?
On this page
On Valodrop your balance is kept in VP (Valodrop Points). The word “coin” is also used for balance on the site. This article explains the difference between balance, inventory value and a VP code.
What is VP?
VP (Valodrop Points) is the site’s own balance unit. It is measured exactly like the Valorant Points amounts in VP codes (epin): 1 Valodrop Points = 1 Valorant Points.
The difference between balance, inventory value and a VP code
- Balance: The amount of VP in your account. It is shown in the green box in the top bar.
- Inventory value: The total price of the items in your inventory. It is shown in the blue box in the top bar. This amount is not your balance and is not used to open cases. If you sell items, their value is added to your balance.
- VP code: The gift card (epin) code you receive when you withdraw your items; its amount is in Valorant Points and it is used on your Riot account. It appears in Profile > Orders. Codes come in fixed amounts set by Valorant; the smallest is 375 VP.
To learn what the boxes in the top bar mean, read Header Bar Meanings.
What is balance used for?
Balance is used to open cases and to join game modes such as PVP Royale rooms. If the open button of a case is unavailable, you probably do not have enough balance for that case. In that case you can add balance or sell an item from your inventory.
How does my balance go up?

- By selling items from your inventory: What is the New Inventory System?
- With the surplus from an item withdrawal or trade: the surplus is returned to your balance.
- By entering a promo code: What is Promocode
Can I get my balance back?
No. Balance is not refunded and cannot be converted into real currency; it cannot be withdrawn as a VP code either. A VP code is only issued for items in your inventory. For details, read How to Withdraw and Refund policy.
